Events Help improve your business with the following events that are available to you. Please note, some of these are run by external organisations. MKB Care Association: members’ meetings Five members’ meetings and the Association’s AGM have now been arranged for 2010-2011. Agendas and a booking form will be ready from mid-August. We intend to have speakers on Parkinson’s Disease, End of Life care and Dementia but, as yet, topics for discussion and speakers are not fixed so we would be delighted to hear from anyone who has a special request. The last meeting that featured Katy Slade speaking on Parkinson’s Disease was in the Milton Keynes area and it was extremely highly rated by delegates so we will be asking Katy back to speak at a South Bucks meeting. Skills for Care: QCF launch event 14th September 2010 Skills for Care are launching the new Qualifications and Credit Framework with a free event on 14th September at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury, London. It is aimed at all employers, learning and development managers and training providers with an interest in the new qualifications. National Care Association One of a number of innovations at the 2010 National Care Association Conference will be the new modular structure of the conference programme - designed to give busy care professionals the opportunity to attend for either one or two days, depending on their schedules and subjects of interest. The event, to be held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel & Conference Centre, Kensington, London on 20/21 October 2010, will include Seminars, Q&A Sessions, Discussions and Debates with those influencing policy within Government and representatives of the leading care sector organisations, and an exhibition of the sector’s latest products and services – all under one roof. The developing programme will include a Dementia Care Conference, Learning Disability Providers Conference, National Conference featuring a number of major speakers plus a sparkling Gala Dinner.
